Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi Squad
Peshawar Zalmi, the “Yellow Storm,” finalized their squad for PSL 11 (2026) following the player auction on February 11. While they lost Saim Ayub to the new Hyderabad franchise, they’ve built a robust team around Babar Azam and injected significant international firepower. A major update for this season is the appointment of Ottis Gibson (former West Indies and South Africa coach) as the new Head Coach.
Retained & Direct Signings
Zalmi kept their core leadership and secured a versatile Australian all-rounder as their direct signing.
Babar Azam (Captain – Retained for PKR 7 Crore)
Aaron Hardie (Direct Overseas Signing – Australia)
Sufiyan Muqeem (Retained)
Abdul Samad (Retained)
Ali Raza (Retained)
Players Bought in the Auction
The franchise spent heavily on international experience and power-hitters like Iftikhar Ahmed and James Vince.
Squad Highlights
Middle Order Power: The addition of Iftikhar Ahmed (Chacha) alongside Michael Bracewell and Aaron Hardie gives Zalmi a very explosive finish to their innings.
Bowling Variety: With the raw pace of Nahid Rana and Khurram Shahzad, combined with the mystery spin of Sufiyan Muqeem, the attack looks well-rounded.
The Loss of Saim: The biggest talking point remains the departure of Saim Ayub. However, bringing back Mohammad Haris and signing James Vince suggests they plan to keep their aggressive “Zalmi style” at the top.
