Pakistan vs Australia 2026: T20I Series Schedule and Venue Details Announced

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially greenlit the schedule for Australia’s high-profile T20I tour of Pakistan, set to ignite Lahore later this month. This three-match showdown at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium serves as a vital dress rehearsal for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The Road to the World Cup
With Pakistan placed in Group A and Australia in Group B for the 2026 World Cup, this series offers both heavyweights a final opportunity to fine-tune their squads.
PCB COO, Sumair Ahmed Syed, highlighted the significance of the tour, stating:
“The tour marks a blockbuster beginning of the year for Pakistan Cricket fans… I urge them to turn out in numbers to support both teams as they put final touches to their T20 World Cup preparations.”
Australia’s Return to Lahore
This visit marks Australia’s third major trip to Pakistan since 2022. The Aussies are no strangers to the Gaddafi Stadium, having played various formats there over the last four years, including key matches during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Historically, the venue has hosted some nail-biting finishes. In their last T20I encounter at this ground in April 2022, Australia managed a narrow three-wicket victory. Fans are eager to see if the Green Shirts can reclaim home dominance this time around.
Match Timings and Squad Arrival
The Australian T20I contingent is scheduled to land in Lahore on Wednesday, January 28. To ensure fans don’t miss a moment of the action, the PCB has confirmed uniform timings for the entire series:
- Coin Toss: 5:30 PM PKT
- First Ball: 6:00 PM PKT
